Swannee's Return to Racing - From the Depths of Illness and Injury

After shoulder surgery, a strange illness, recalcitrant plantar fasciitis, heel surgery with complications, another bout with the flu - its time for me to get back in the training saddle - with a focus on XTERRA, enduro mountain biking then onto some fall AR, trail running races and more.

Running and dropping pounds

Bill Swann - Wednesday, February 03, 2010
With all this snow, not much happening on the bike trails but now that I'm up to :45 minutes of running (depending on terrain, anywhere from 4.25 to 5 miles) I'm starting to see the bathroom scales becoming a bit more friendlier - I still wouldn't classify it as "friendly" yet - but coming.
I'm pretty stoked that I've gotten up this far and now it looks like I could be back to my beloved XTERRA racing this year. Maybe a little slower on the swim but hopefully a bit more speedier on the bike...we'll see.
