Update on 18 Hour Course Changes - Looks Exciting

Racers - below is Cycle Ed's most recent report on upcoming trail changes for 2010. Keep in mind that, quoting Cycles Ed "...there are at least 12 major changes...some of which will be implemented next year". So, the course keeps changing - tell your friends and keep up with the changes.
"...As (Scout Camp) trail guy I can tell you that the '10 course will be the best yet! - As you know the course is never the same from one year to the next, and this coming year will be no exception as I've got several significant changes planed for the course - some additional mileage will be added and a few more technical sections as well. One change is the course will be running directly next too the "Love Shack" (along with some special effects at that point), which will then feed you into nice rolling whoops, If you don't know where the "Shack" is - well, you will soon enough. At this point I expect the lap mileage to come out close to 11 + miles Plans are to eliminate the fire Rd section that leads to the Brady Saunders Dining Hall on the other side of the camp - instead we'll be on new single track. The gravel section thru the parking lot area which is also on the Brady Saunders side of the camp will also be eliminated, again the replacement for that area will be more single track.
It's gonna Rock once again!! Glad your ready to Roll with it!

First - I'd like to thank all the riders that showed up to ride & race for 18 Hours - Scouts Honor...we are really looking forward to having you back for next year's event!
Next - I forgot to thank...individually - two folks who really put alot of work into this event: First - my wife, Marianne. Marianne showed a never ending supply of enthusiasm and energy and was always ready to jump in on a job that needed to be done - and got it done with exemplary attention to detail: THANK YOU MARIANNE
I would also like to thank Cynthia Bashton who, as registration coordinator - made sure that when you showed up - you spent a minimum of time getting registered so you could get out and enjoy your time at the Scout Camp. Cynthia, like Marianne took her job and others with the same enthusiasm and energy and made sure the job was done right...and done promptly. Cynthia is also the creative designer responsible for this year's Scouts Honor logo as well as the ASR logo: THANK YOU MARIANNE.
We also had a number of other volunteers that gave of their time - and sometimes in some pretty hot conditions - to make sure this event started - ran - and ended up as the quality event Billy & I had hoped for (and Cycles Ed expected!!!). THANKS TO ALL WHO GAVE THEIR TIME TO MAKE THIS EVENT A WINNER!!!
